== Chapter II: Westguard Keep ==
The fledgling Order established its operations from Westguard Keep, the great Alliance stronghold overlooking the southern shores of the Howling Fjord.

Standing defiantly against the harsh northern elements, Westguard Keep had long served as a bastion of civilization amidst the wilderness of Northrend. Its stone walls overlooked icy waters, rugged cliffs, and vast stretches of untamed land where danger often lurked beyond the horizon. To travelers arriving from distant lands, the sight of the fortress often represented safety, stability, and the promise of refuge within an otherwise unforgiving frontier.

For many of the early members, the Keep became more than a military outpost. It became a gathering place where adventurers, explorers, and defenders of Azeroth found common purpose. Within its halls, friendships were forged, lessons were learned, and the foundations of the future Order began to take shape.

From within its walls, the Guardians organized patrols across the surrounding wilderness, escorted travelers through dangerous territory, and answered calls for aid from settlements struggling against the lingering dangers of the north.

The Keep soon became a center of constant activity. Messengers arrived bearing reports from distant settlements. Scouts departed before dawn to investigate rumors of trouble beyond the frontier. Maps were studied, supplies prepared, and expeditions organized to venture into regions few dared to explore.

The duties of the Guardians were as varied as the land itself.

Some ventured into forgotten ruins in search of lost knowledge and ancient artifacts.

Others hunted marauding threats that preyed upon isolated communities.

Diplomats and envoys traveled between settlements, helping foster cooperation among those attempting to rebuild in the aftermath of war.

No task was considered beneath the Order if it served the people of Northrend.

Whether escorting a caravan through dangerous terrain, aiding struggling settlements, or confronting threats far greater than themselves, the Guardians approached every duty with the same sense of responsibility and resolve.

As the years passed, the Order became a familiar and respected presence throughout the region. Merchants came to trust the roads protected by Guardian patrols. Settlers found comfort knowing aid could be summoned when danger arose. Local leaders increasingly viewed the Order as dependable allies during times of uncertainty.

Stories of their deeds spread throughout the north, carried by travelers, traders, and those whose lives had been touched by their service. What had begun as a modest fellowship gradually earned a reputation for reliability, courage, and honor.

Veterans would later recall these years with great fondness. Though resources were often limited and the challenges many, there existed a strong sense of purpose among those who served. The hardships of the frontier forged bonds that would endure for years to come, and the lessons learned within the shadow of Westguard Keep would shape the character of the Order long after it expanded beyond Northrend.

It was here, upon the frozen frontier, that the foundations of the Northrend Guardians were firmly established.

The Order had found its footing.

Its reputation was growing.

And beyond the icy horizon, a wider world awaited.
