Trade routes reopened, exploration resumed, and communication between distant regions of Azeroth became more frequent. Along with these developments came new opportunities—and new responsibilities.

Stories of the Guardians' service spread through merchant caravans, traveling adventurers, and seafaring vessels that crossed the waters between distant lands. Though the Order had never sought recognition, its reputation steadily expanded beyond the borders of Northrend.

Before long, requests for assistance began arriving from regions far removed from the Howling Fjord.

Some sought escorts through dangerous territory.

Others requested aid in recovering lost relics, investigating forgotten ruins, or confronting threats that local defenders could not overcome alone.

The Northrend Guardians would henceforth be known as the Sentinels of Azeroth.
